01 Introduction
Have you ever waited at a bus stop during long journey not knowing when the bus would arrive? Not knowing if there are buses to your destination ?
We are hoping to help people in such situation with this project. A bus tracking system through which you could view bus timing, their location, estimated time of arrival, their routes, etc.
02 Description
This system would involve 3 parts - a small device in buses which would transmit current location data to the server. The device would be paired to a mobile device in the bus through an app. There would be different app for the public where the the data from the server - bus routes, timings, location, ETA will be displayed. This would enable someone waiting for a bus to know how long he/she/they should wait, if there are buses at that time of the day or if there is a better way to reach their destination
